The Archdiocesan Guidelines describe the PPC’s purpose: “to assist the pastor in his leadership role of planning, organizing, initiating, promoting, coordinating and reviewing the evangelization, worship, religious education and service activities within the parish.” Parish Pastoral Council members have three year terms, are nominated by any parishioners, and are chosen from among all nominations after a process of prayerful discernment.
The Collaborative Parishes Pastoral Council came about with the advent of the Matthew 13 Catholic Collaborative in 2014-2015, combining the pastoral councils for Blessed Sacrament Parish and St. Mary Parish to work together to represent the interests of both parishes and assist the Pastor in the many initiatives that are part of the pastoral plan for the collaborative.
The Parish Council meets on the 3rd Wednesday of each month from 7pm-9pm at St. Mary Parish Hall. You are always welcome and encouraged to share your thoughts and ideas about the parish with anyone from the CPC who will then bring your thoughts to our meetings, or by emailing Parish Pastoral Council.
For copies of CPC meeting minutes, please contact one of the parish offices.
